Physics – it fascinates me! – workshops
The staff of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy invite secondary school students to an academic physics workshop!
At the workshop, in small groups, students will work on solving real physics problems using the tools of modern theoretical and experimental physics. The workshop will be complemented by a series of lectures presenting interesting aspects of modern physics. Participation in the activities will allow students to gain unique mathematical and natural science competences.
The organisers propose a series of 11 meetings at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Wrocław. The classes will be held on Wednesdays from 19 February to 30 April 2025 from 16:00 to 18:30. The workshops are free of charge. The number of places is limited.
Candidate applications should be emailed to: tomasz.greczylo@uwr.edu.pl by Wednesday, 5 February 2025. Please write: Fizyka – to mnie fascynuje! in the subject line of your correspondence! The application should include the candidates’ details (first name, last name, school, which class) and a short cover letter outlining the student’s profile and why they want to take part in the workshop. The application should be on an A4 page. If someone wishes to send in an application as a group of several people, the organisers ask for individual applications, stating that you wish to participate as a group and indicating the other members of the group.
The organisers will send information about the outcome of the recruitment process in a return correspondence by Tuesday, 11 February 2025.
