
Polish feminine names – extravagance or rooted in language?
Contrary to common simplifying opinions appearing in the media, contrary to statements such as ‘feminine names were invented by feminists’ or ‘feminine names rape the language’ and many other similar statements, linguistic research convinces us that feminine names have been present in Polish for centuries. And this statement is not new in science – states prof. Agnieszka Małocha from the Institute of Polish Studies at the University of Wrocław.
