
Prof. Anna Brytek-Matera is a laureate of the Walczak NAWA Programme
The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange announced the results of the fourth edition of Prof. Franciszek Walczak programme. One of the 40 laureates is prof. dr hab. in medical and health sciences Anna Brytek-Matera from the Institute of Psychology, University of Wrocław.
The grant to visit one of the best research centres in the world, the University of Tokyo (University of Tokyo Hospital) will allow prof. Anna Brytek-Matera to conduct a research project „Mobile health (mhealth) intervention for the treatment of patients with binge eating disorder and obesity in Japan: a pilot randomized controlled trial” (April – July 2025). The research will be conducted in collaboration with Prof. Kazuhiro Yoshiuchi, the Head of the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine.
The Walczak NAWA Programme is realised in cooperation with Medical Research Agency, and finances by subsidies from the Ministry of Health.
According to the NAWA website, “(…) The quality of applications submitted in this edition was remarkably high—the success rate was 29%.”
