
Prof. Dorota Nowak again in the Molecular Cell Biology Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences
Prof. dr hab. Dorota Nowak, dean of the UWr Faculty of Biotechnology, has been elected for another term as a member of the Molecular Cell Biology Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The Molecular Cell Biology Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences is an advisory and consultative body, representing the national scientific community within the scope of its substantive competence. As a representative body of scientists, the area of its activity includes biological processes and phenomena occurring in cells at the molecular level. This includes both prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, unicellular and multicellular, as well as viruses and subviral agents (e.g., viroids, etc.) that infect cells of all organisms. In particular, the substantive scope of the Committee’s activities relates to such disciplines and scientific specialties in the biological sciences as biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, microbiology, genetics, neurobiology, immunology parasitology, bioinformatics and molecular biology.
The committee additionally serves as the national committee for cooperation with the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) and for cooperation with the International Union for Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB).
