
Prof. Eugeniusz Zych is the chairman of the Electrochemical Society
Prof. dr hab. Eugeniusz Zych of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Wrocław has been elected chairman of the Luminescence & Display Materials Division of the prestigious Electrochemical Society.
The Electrochemical Society was founded in 1902 in Philadelphia. Today, it brings together more than 8,000 scientists from more than 85 countries around the world. The list of past members includes numerous Nobel Prize winners in physics and chemistry, as well as Thomas Edison himself.
The organisation supports research in the fields of electrochemistry, solid state sciences and related technologies, dealing, among other things, with the publication of journals and monographs. It also funds numerous scientific prizes and scholarships for young researchers.
The term of office of the new authorities and members begins on 13 October this year.
