Prof. Piotr Migoń awarded the Brunsden Medal!
During the Congress of the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG) in New Zealand, Professor Piotr Migoń from the Department of Geomorphology of the Institute of Geography and Regional Development at the University of Wrocław, was honoured with the Brunsden Medal – one of the most prestigious distinctions in global geomorphology.
This distinction is awarded to individuals who have made a lasting, outstanding and inspiring contribution to the advancement of geomorphology worldwide. The Brunsden Medal is named after Professor Denys Brunsden – the initiator of the IAG and its first President – and for many years the award has symbolised the highest recognition in the field.
The awarding of the medal to Professor Migoń is not only a confirmation of his remarkable academic achievements, but also an acknowledgement of his passion, dedication and contribution to fostering international scientific collaboration.
Congratulations!
