L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Programme

The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Programme is a programme aimed at promoting the scientific achievements of talented female researchers, encouraging them to continue their research aimed at the advancement of science, and providing them with financial support. The programme has been running in Poland since 2001. It is organised by L’Oréal Poland in cooperation with the Polish National Commission for UNESCO, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Polish Academy of Sciences and UN Global Compact Network Poland.

The project is aimed at female scientists conducting groundbreaking research in the life sciences. The scholarship is open to female researchers at any stage of their scientific career who, in the year of the award (2025), have not reached the age of 26 in the case of master’s students, 32 in the case of doctoral students, and 40 in the case of habilitation candidates.
