Project ReCall: in search of our shared memory
Historical Institute of the University of Wrocław is participating in the ReCall project implemented by Hungary’s Loránd Eötvös University in Budapest, entitled: A Study of Common Memory and Central European History for Collective Remembrance, which received funding from an Erasmus+ Tempus grant!
The project aims to strengthen the identity of Central Europe, deepen the historical knowledge of the general public, and create a network of student ambassadors for mutual understanding of history. The identification of common memorial sites in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland will emphasize the unity and common identity of the region. The grant will result in the creation of a map of memorial sites, an online catalog and a comprehensive micro-course. Academic and popularization activities will contribute to a sense of community among academic staff and students. The joint project of the universities – Loránd Eötvös University in Budapest, the University of Wroclaw and Masaryk University in Brno – serves to promote long-term academic cooperation.
