Recruitment for Chinese studies

Chinese studies at the University of Wrocław is one of the most popular fields of study. ‘And I hope it will stay that way, especially as we intend to open the next stage of education for its graduates, i.e. a master’s degree’, emphasises prof. Robert Olkiewicz, rector of the University of Wrocław.

Despite the expiration of the university’s cooperation agreement with the Confucius Institute implemented in cooperation with the Chinese side on 25 January this year, the University of Wrocław does not intend to abandon its education in the field of Chinese studies, quite the contrary. This year, recruitment for the first-cycle studies programme will be opened for 18 places. Procedures have been put in place to allow students to study for a second-cycle degree. The university is in the process of formalising the hiring of Chinese lecturers, which will end the problems of maintaining education in this field of study.
