Residency programme for Ukrainian students
How can we provide long-term support for Ukraine and its reconstruction? How can we help young Ukrainians, now dispersed all around the world, to create a better future for their homeland?
Ukrainian students are invited to participate in SPLOT UA Residency, a new initiative launched by the New Space Foundation and Science Now, together with the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and the United States Department of State.
The aim of the programme is to create prototypes of social innovations and business ventures with the potential to be implemented in Ukraine in the future.
During the programme, selected participants will work on three topics based on the UA Reconstruction Plans: Healing the city, Rewilding the night, and Revitalising education.
The SPLOT UA Residency is intended for Ukrainians aged 18-30, currently residing in Poland due to the Russian aggression, who have particular interests or unique talents: artistic, scientific, entrepreneurial, organisational, or other. What matters is the candidates’ motivation, as well as their willingness and ability to work in a team. The initiative is aimed at people who are interested in the world around them and eager to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
During the six months, participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills and work with experienced mentors and international experts in different fields, including many graduates of the Fulbright programs.
Registration is open until 30th November. Visit the website for details on how to apply.
Partners of the SPLOT UA Residency: Leiden University, Match & Spark, NOSPR, The International Astronomical Union, Unitalent Foundation, Fulbright Poland, and Polish Economic Institute.
