Rzeczpospolita Ranking: FLAE at the University of Wrocław leads in international cooperation!
The Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics (FLAE) at the University of Wrocław has ranked third in the 14th edition of Rzeczpospolita‘s Law Faculties Ranking in the category of public universities – and secured first place in the “international cooperation” category.
This year’s edition saw no change at the top: Jagiellonian University remained in first place, followed by the University of Warsaw, and then the University of Wrocław in third. Notably, FLAE has consistently maintained a position among the ranking’s leaders for many years.
In 2025, the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics was recognised as the top law faculty in Poland for international cooperation. This first-place position was awarded thanks to its extensive offering of English-language study programmes and the high proportion of international students enrolled at FLAE relative to the total student body.
The English-taught law programmes at FLAE UWr include: Criminal Justice (first-cycle studies), LLB in International and European Environmental Law (first-cycle studies), LLM in International and European Law (second-cycle studies).
Additionally, the Faculty offers programmes in administration and economics in English: Bachelor of Business and Administration (first-cycle studies), Master of Economics and Finance (second-cycle studies).
Recruitment is currently open for all degree programmes – we warmly invite prospective students to join FLAE UWr!
Professor Jacek Przygodzki, dean of the Faculty, attributes FLAE’s strong performance in this and other rankings to the academic staff’s focus on high-quality teaching, especially with a practical emphasis – many of our staff members are distinguished and practising legal professionals – judges in common courts, prosecutors, administrative court judges, officials in public administration, as well as respected advocates, legal advisers, notaries, and auditors. This blend of theory and practice is what makes our teaching effective and helps shape our curricula.
Commenting on the Faculty’s top placement in international cooperation, prof. Przygodzki highlights the growing importance of global engagement in legal education – The modern world is increasingly globalised, and legal professionals often operate in international contexts. Student exchange programmes and cooperation with foreign universities should be a standard part of legal studies.
The Faculty’s success in teaching, according to the Dean, also stems from its responsiveness to contemporary challenges – Today’s world demands flexibility, innovation, and preparation for constant change. Integrating modern technologies like artificial intelligence and big data is now essential. These are becoming critical in the legal profession, so our curricula must include legal tech courses and practical training in their use.
– To prepare students more effectively for their future careers, education must prioritise hands-on experience. And that’s exactly what we do. Student placements, legal clinics, mock trials, and even virtual reality simulations are integral parts of the teaching model at FLAE UWr – adds prof. Przygodzki.
