Today is the premiere of prof. Leszek Berezowski’s Santa Claus lecture!
Who was really the man commonly believed to be St. Nicholas or Santa Claus? What is his true story? Has his image changed over the centuries? During the lecture, prof. dr hab. Leszek Berezowski will talk about the history of St. Nicholas and Santa Claus, his origins and activities, ancient customs, traditions and beliefs, and how the figures of St. Nicholas and Santa Claus has changed over the centuries.
The Institute of English Studies at the University of Wrocław invites you to a lecture entitled “The True History of Saint Nicholas & Santa Claus”.

Leszek Berezowski – linguist and translator with many years of professional experience. Professor at the University of Wrocław, founder and head of the Postgraduate Translation Studies, and in 1999-2000 visiting professor at Central Michigan University (USA). Until his professorship as a translator of many financial institutions (such as Bank Zachodni, Forum Financial Services, XIV Narodowy Fundusz Inwestycyjny).
