
Santander Awards for students and doctoral students of the University of Wrocław presented!
The aim of this competition is to recognise individuals from our academic community who share one key trait: dedication to what they do. The awards ceremony for the Santander Award for students and doctoral students of the University of Wrocław 2025 took place on 23 June 2025 at the Oratorium Marianum.
Through this initiative, Santander promotes and supports academic and social development, as well as appreciates the commitment and engagement of students and doctoral candidates. During Monday’s event, as many as 50 individuals were honoured, each receiving a one-off financial award of PLN 2,000!
The selection process took into account the following criteria:
- academic performance or results in university admissions,
- participation in scientific-themed competitions,
- social engagement within and beyond the university,
- artistic achievements,
- sporting achievements,
- scientific accomplishments.
Among the awardees were: 16 first-year students, 24 students from other years, and 10 doctoral candidates.

- Faculty of Social Communication and Media Studies – 7
- Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics – 7
- Faculty of Social Sciences – 6
- Faculty of Chemistry – 5

- Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Literatures – 3
- College for Interdisciplinary Individual Studies – 2
- Faculty of Letters – 2
- Faculty of Physics and Astronomy – 2
- Faculty of Earth Sciences and Environmental Management – 2
- Faculty of Biotechnology – 1
Congratulations were extended to the awardees by Monika Bejma-Giglewicz, Manager of the Wrocław branch of Santander Universidades, and Łukasz Prus, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at the University of Wrocław.
