
Science celebration in Wrocław
The Rectors of the universities of Wrocław and Opole cordially invite you to an open session of the College of Rectors of the Universities of Wrocław and Opole, taking place on 15 November in celebration of the Science Festival. A special concert will be held in Wrocław the day before to mark the occasion.
The main celebrations of the Science Festival in Wrocław will begin on Friday, 15 November, at 4:00 p.m. in the Leopoldine Hall. The ceremony will include, among other highlights, the presentation of the KRUWiO Award and doctoral scholarships funded by the Mayor of Wrocław. Earlier that morning, a KRUWiO delegation will lay flowers at the Monument to the Martyred Professors of Lwów and at the plaques commemorating the Kraków professors imprisoned in Wrocław in 1939.
On the preceding day, Thursday, 14 November, a commemorative concert will be held to honour the Science Festival in Wrocław, jointly hosted by the Mayor of Wrocław and the Rectors of the universities of Wrocław and Opole. The concert will take place in the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music’s concert hall and will feature Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk (soprano), Przemysław Borys (tenor), and Bogdan Makal (bass). They will be accompanied by the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław and combined academic choirs of Wrocław under the direction of Marek Wroniszewski.
