Senior Brigadier Andrzej Jaroszek passed away
We are deeply saddened to announce that on 20 August 2025, Senior Brigadier Andrzej Jaroszek, a long-time administrative employee of the Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Protection Department at the University of Wrocław, passed away.
The funeral will take place on 26 August 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at the Osobowicki Cemetery.
Senior Brigadier Andrzej Jaroszek played a key role in drafting the bill on the State Fire Service, working with representatives of the fire brigade and scientists from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław.
He was a specialist officer/fire protection inspector at the University of Wrocław and was involved in the work of the Lower Silesian Editorial Team preparing the draft law on the State Fire Service. As a representative of the firefighting community and the Solidarity trade union, he participated in legislative negotiations that led to the establishment of the State Fire Service.
