REGULATIONS FOR STUDENT ACCOMMODATION AND STAYING IN THE HALL OF RESIDENCE “OŁÓWEK”

The Ołówek house of residence has 19 floors. It offers double and single rooms in a modular arrangement. The module consists of two rooms (2+2, 1+1 configuration) with a shared kitchen, hall and bathroom.

The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and washbasin. The rooms are equipped with furniture sets (wardrobes, bedside tables, hanging shelves, tables, chairs, beds) and bedside lamps.

The kitchen is equipped with a set of kitchen furniture and household appliances: a refrigerator and a two-burner electric stove. In the hall there is a hanger and a shoe cabinet.

The resident receives a blanket, duvet, pillow and a set of bed linen.

The building has four elevators, a shared laundry and drying room, study rooms, a TV room, monitoring, wired and wireless Internet (eduroam) – https://it.uwr.edu.pl/wifi-i-eduroam/

Persons residing in the student house are obliged to observe the regulations in force.

  1. In matters related to accommodation in the student house, you should contact the administration of the student house by telephone or email (tel.: +48713283212, email address: olowek@uwr.edu.pl) between 8:00a.m.-3:00p.m., Monday to Friday.

2. Accommodation during the academic year takes place on weekdays from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m-2:00 p.m.

3. If you are unable to arrive at the appointed time, you must agree your planned arrival date and time with the administration of the student house (point 2).

4. Documents required for accommodation:

a) confirmation of deposit transfer

b) student identification card (only applicable to students of higher years),

c) identity card/passport (valid document authorising residence in the Republic of Poland, e.g. visa, temporary residence card),

d) declaration of temporary residence (registration),

e) Information obligation for student accommodation (GDPR),

f) power of attorney for registration and GDPR,

g) a photocopy of an identity document authorising legal residence in the Republic of Poland:

– Citizens of the European Union countries: two-sided copy of identity card, in case of passport – photo page;

– non-EU citizens: copy of passport – photo page + VISA page or double-sided copy of residence card

h) consent of parents/legal guardians to live in the hall of residence (applies to minors)

5. Payments for accommodation should be made by non-cash payment (bank transfer) to an individual bank account generated in the USOS system. Payment for accommodation in the hall of residence is to be made by bank transfer to the student residence account. It must be paid by the 5th day of each month.

6. Residents pay a one-off deposit. The deposit shall be refunded upon submission of a duly completed application, but not earlier than within 30 working days after the formalities have been completed, i.e. after the fees have been settled, the room/module has been handed over, etc.
