Student Scientific Association Briefly
Student Scientific Association “Briefly” was founded in 2019 on the initiative of a group of friends studying Image Communication. The essence of the Association is expressed in the constant search for a new shape and matching elements. In Briefly we focus primarily on teamwork and a good atmosphere – we operate on many different levels (organizing events, conducting research, designing communications), but the most important thing for us is to have fun while doing it.
The association has conducted three recruitments so far and currently has twelve active members. The vast majority of members are students of the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication (IDiKS). Since the association’s founding, its supervisor has been dr Patrycja Rozbicka.
Brief descriptions of past activities, current affairs and future plans
In the past, the association has carried out several activities in cooperation with IDiKS, including the Institute’s open days or last year’s charity auction: wykłaDAJMY – IDiKS auctions for children from Ukraine. Last year, also in cooperation with IDiKS, one of the association’s teams thought up, designed and wrote an information brochure for international students. The other team, however, supported the organization of the urban game “Odrace”.
In the current academic year, the association is working on organizing a travel workshop for IDiKS students and the second edition of the charity event.
The association’s upcoming plans are related to the completion of one more major project, which the association has been implementing since the 2021/22 academic year. It is promoting a research report on Generation Z’s perception of the Metaverse.
