Talented young people – set off to get your scholarships!
Thanks to being among the 10 universities participating in the Excellence Initiative Research University program, the University of Wrocław can support young and talented students from the first year of their studies! If you are a winner of a subject contest, do very well in your final exams or achieve a high result in the university recruitment process – the Young Researcher scholarship is waiting for you! The university allocates one million zlotys (PLN) per year for them!
We would like to remind you that Young Researcher scholarships are awarded in 2020-2025 and the University of Wrocław’s home page will inform you of each call. In 2024, the call for applications for the scholarship program will take place in September, and the adjudication is scheduled for October.
Who can receive a scholarship?
Scholarships may be awarded to students of all full-time first-year courses of first-cycle studies and full-time uniform master’s studies conducted at the University of Wrocław who were admitted to the first year of studies in the year of passing the Matura exam (including the IB or a foreign Matura exam) and are:
- Medalists, winners or finalists of contests (list in the Regulations below)
- Candidates with the highest results obtained in the recruitment process, accepted in accordance with the rules for recruiting candidates with the IB
- Candidates with the highest results obtained in the recruitment process, admitted to studies on the basis of written results of the Matura exam (the so-called national matura)
ATTENTION! During the period of receiving the scholarship, the student may only study at the University of Wrocław.
How to apply?
You must submit the “Application for the Young Researcher Scholarship 2020-2025” (content in the Regulations below) along with attachments. The application must be submitted via the electronic application, which will be launched when the recruitment begins (we will announce it).
Who evaluates applications?
Applications are considered by the Young Researcher Grants and Scholarships Team 2020-2025. The list of scholarship holders is approved by the Rector.
