Telc certified examinations at the UWr Institute of German Studies
At the UWr Institute of German Studies it is possible to obtain an international telc certificate confirming your knowledge of German at an appropriate level.
The telc examinations are intended for learners of a foreign language to certify their mastery of the language at an EQF level (B1, B2, C1, C2) for private or professional use.
The Institute of German Studies is licensed to conduct telc certification examinations and organises examinations at B1, B2, C2, C2 level. There are usually two examination sessions per year.
Telc certificates:
- are recognised documents certifying knowledge of a foreign language in Europe;
- are accredited by government institutions (e.g. Hungary);
- are recognised by universities and give access to university studies (e.g. Germany, Hungary and Spain);
- are considered for citizenship (e.g. Austria and Switzerland);
- fulfil the requirements for the qualification procedure in the civil service and for the documentation of foreign language skills by tourist guides and tour guides (Poland);
- are the basis for exemption from the doctoral examination in a modern foreign language (Poland);
- from levels B2 to C2 are recognised in the process of qualifying teachers for their profession, including the teaching of a foreign language (Poland).
All information about the examinations is available on the website and on the IFG website.
