The 2nd edition of the University Career Festival is over!

On May 29th, 2025, the campus of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wrocław transformed into a meeting space between students and the representatives from the public and private sectors, as well as those from NGOs.

The University Career Festival brought together dozens of exhibitors, who presented various paths of career development opportunities to students from the University’s social and humanities programmes. Aforementioned paths included job offers, internships, practices and volunteering options.

What was on the agenda?
– Job fairs – direct meetings with potential employers and institutions scouting for young talent.
– Personal development workshops – hands-on sessions focused on writing the CV, preparing for interviews or development of soft skills.
– Lectures and discussion panels – expert-led sessions on job market trends and career-building strategies.

Guests and partners
Among the exhibitors were:
– Public institutions – Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office (which hosted workshops on legalising foreigners’ stay and visa procedures), European Parliament Liaison Office, Lower Silesian Voivodeship Labour Office, and numerous representatives of uniformed services.
– Private sector – including Qatar Airways, EY GDS Poland, DXC Technology, Pyszne.pl and the agency Komunikacja Plus.
– NGOs – Fundacja Wspierania Organizacji Pozarządowych „Umbrella” (Umbrella Foundation for NGO Support), Aktywizacja Foundation, Stowarzyszenie Tratwa (Tratwa Association) and other third-sector partners.

The event was honoured by the presence of Lower Silesian Voivode Anna Żabska, who visited the booths and engaged in conversations with the exhibitors and students alike.

Organisation
The Festival was jointly prepared by:
Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, and Faculty of Communication and Media Studies in cooperation with the University of Wrocław’s Academic Career Office.

Sincere thanks to everyone who joined us on this day – students, exhibitors and the organising team!
