The Climate Days of the Wrocław Academic Community 2026
The Climate Days of the Wrocław Academic Community 2026 is an interdisciplinary scientific and educational event that will take place on 19-21 March 2026 in Wrocław. The initiative brings together the academic community and citizens, creating a space for discussion about climate challenges and practical solutions that support climate transformation and resilience.
This year’s edition features a total of 31 events organised by 8 universities in Wrocław: The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, the Eugeniusz Gepert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Wrocław University of Economics and Business, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, SWPS University and University of Wrocław. The programme includes 15 events on Thursday (19 March), 14 on Friday (20 March) and 2 on Saturday (21 March) – in the form of workshops, exhibitions, educational walks, lectures, debates, field activities, competitions, games and artistic and educational initiatives.

The topics of the events include, among others, the adaptation of cities to climate change (including blue-green infrastructure solutions), responsible and inclusive design, sustainable mobility and the impact of transport on the climate. Another important theme will be looking at the climate through the perspective of health (including air quality, smog and airborne allergens), atmospheric science and data (from meteorological monitoring to the use of artificial intelligence), as well as economics and management (including the challenges of transformation, organisational responsibility, and ESG standards). Another important element of the programme is the dimension of art and the power of forms and expression – including music, painting and photography – as tools for building sensitivity, imagination and agency. Artistic and educational events show how creativity can support changes in attitudes, engage emotions and inspire responsible climate action. The programme also includes themes of communication and social resilience – including countering climate misinformation – and initiatives on responsible consumer choices, such as the planetary diet and alternative sources of protein.
The events are aimed at a wide audience: university students and staff, school pupils and anyone interested in climate issues. The Climate Days of the Wrocław Academic Community 2026 provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, promoting an interdisciplinary approach to climate challenges and integrating activities for sustainable development, both locally and globally.
See you there!
