On 12 June at 6:00 p.m., our guest for this online event will be dr Dominika Grzesik, who will offer a fascinating insight into the world of ancient medicine and cults in her lecture: “Bóg sztuki lekarskiej Asklepios i jego kult w starożytnej Grecji: terapeutyczne sny, magiczne uzdrowienia i inne cuda.”
Dr Dominika Grzesik is a historian and classical philologist, a researcher of Greek sanctuaries (including Delphi and Epidaurus), and a specialist in epigraphy. She currently heads the Centre for the Study of the Ancient World (CSAW) at the University of Wrocław. She is also the author of the monograph “Honorific Culture at Delphi in the Hellenistic and Roman Periods” (Brill, 2021).
