The first stage of the Artificial Intelligence Olympiad concluded
The Artificial Intelligence Olympiad is a competition aimed at students from Polish secondary schools. It also represents a unique opportunity to support young talent – individuals who are just beginning their journey into the world of AI and are eager to expand their knowledge, gain new experiences, and develop their skills at the highest level. The goal of the Olympiad is to promote key knowledge and technologies at the foundation of artificial intelligence. The competition began on February 17, and its first stage has just concluded.
The Olympiad is co-organised by four leading Polish universities: the University of Wrocław, the Jagiellonian University, the University of Warsaw, and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. A wide team of top scientists oversees the creation of tasks, training, and academic guidance.
“The first, remote stage is now behind us. On April 26–27, regional stages will take place at the faculties of mathematics and computer science in Kraków, Poznań, Warsaw, and Wrocław. A total of 77 participants will take part. The competition will involve solving tasks on various AI-related topics. These tasks usually address real-world problems and come with specially prepared datasets. Participants must write, train, and then test the AI algorithms they create,” the organisers explain.
The final of the Olympiad will take place in Wrocław from May 30 to June 2.
The Artificial Intelligence Olympiad is supported by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Wrocław Academic Centre.
