The Lower Silesian EURAXESS Network inauguration conference
We again would like to remind that on 9 April 2026 at the University of Wrocław the Lower Silesian EURAXESS Network inauguration conference will take place. The event will bring together representatives of the universities of the region and public institutions, and experts whose work is to internationalise science and researcher’s mobility.
The conference aims to officially inaugurate the network, as well as present its premises and significance for the development of international partnerships in the Lower Silesian voivodeship. The planned agenda includes speeches by the university administration, the National Agency for Academic Exchange representatives, and guests from abroad. There will also be foreign researchers presenting their experience in supporting researchers’ mobility.
The Lower Silesian EURAXESS Network project
The Lower Silesian EURAXESS Network is a regional initiative whose aim is to reinforce the internationalisation of Lower Silesian universities and develop a coherent support system for foreign researchers, doctoral students and their families. The project’s key objective is to build a long-term network of partnerships between academic institutions and the social-administrative community.
Among other things, the project includes:
- regional informative and networking events,
- training sessions on legalisation of stay, copyrights and intellectual property,
- activities for the integration of international researchers and doctoral students,
- intercultural training for the university staff;
- creating a database of institutions and services supporting researchers and their families.
The project will help increase the appeal of Lower Silesia as a place for work and scientific career development, as well as improve the quality of services provided to the international community at the universities of the region.
The program “NAWA-EURAXESS Network” is funded by the EU’s European Funds for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS) as part of the project “Support for higher education and science institutions in serving foreigners and Polish citizens going abroad”.
