The Student Self-Government invites you to TEDxUWr: “The Wave of Change
TEDxUWr is an event that brings the worlds of science, business, art, and social engagement together. This years’s edition, held on Saturday, 18 April at the University Library under the theme “The Wave of Change”, is dedicated to ideas and attitudes that gradually influence individuals and entire communities.
The event’s main theme, “The Wave of Change”, refers to the process through which ideas spread over time, shaping the way of thinking, attitudes and actions, both on an individual level and within wider communities.
The speech is based on the personal experience and reflections of invited speakers, highlighting the importance of initiative, engagement, and responsibility in shaping contemporary reality. The program includes individual presentations addressing the theme of introducing change in various areas of life.
Topics covered during the event include innovation and new technologies, the role of individuals in social processes, as well as challenges faced by the modern world, such as sustainable development and quickly evolving social change. Each presentation offers an invitation to look at these issues from a new perspective.
The aim of TEDxUWr is to inspire participants to act consciously, broaden their horizons, and initiate changes that can bring lasting and positive social impact. The event encourages reflection on how individual ideas – much like a wave- have the potential to generate meaningful and long-term change.
