Tutoring Academy – 7th edition, May–July 2026
The key objective of the TUTORING ACADEMY is to support academic staff and all other interested units in the areas of teaching and learning, pedagogy, psychology, communication, management, and selected aspects of law. Each edition is updated and enriched with fresh ideas, new tutors and engaging topics. We do not offer a textbook version of tutoring. Instead, we propose structures, tools and models which, both within the Academy and in your own institutional environment, can be enhanced with original and innovative solutions.
The next edition of the course begins on 23 May 2026.
The TUTORING ACADEMY project is developing dynamically. Most faculties of the University of Wrocław already include tutoring in their educational offer. In 2025, the following institutions joined the Tutoring Academy: Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
Why TUTORING?
- Tutoring is a model of teacher–student, lecturer–student and coach–learner relationships that is highly valued by young people today.
- Tutoring is a reciprocal relationship based on cooperation, exchange of ideas, motivation and inspiration, helping to build and organise relationships with others.
- Tutoring is a form of individualised and personalised education.
Why the TUTORING ACADEMY?
- We create a space for dialogue – inviting tutors, mentors, psychologists, trainers, project coordinators, science communicators, educators and lecturers to exchange experience and inspiration.
- We offer practical, workshop-based sessions, new skills and the pleasure of acquiring knowledge.
- We show how to assess the outcomes of one’s own work and how to develop self-evaluation tools.
- We emphasise an interdisciplinary approach to solving complex issues and encourage participants to go beyond the boundaries of formal education.
The TUTORING ACADEMY is also an excellent opportunity to integrate with academic and teaching staff from other faculties of the University of Wrocław and from other universities, fostering further cooperation and the building of lasting relationships – the very essence of tutoring.
Each participant completing the Academy (four weekends) gains knowledge, valuable new social capital, ready-to-use tools, a range of ideas with development potential, and a certificate of a certified tutor in two languages (also valid outside the University of Wrocław).
