UWr recruitment – some important dates!
Dear Candidates! Recruitment to study at the University of Wrocław, at all levels and forms of study, i.e. both full-time and part-time first-cycle and long-cycle studies, as well as part-time second-cycle, will start on 1 June! On that day, we will launch the online Candidate Registration System, which can be found at www.irka.uni.wroc.pl.
If you will be taking part in the recruitment process for full-time first-cycle studies and long-cycle studies, registration in the IRK system will close on 10 July. By this date, you must complete your Matura exam results in the system (this year’s secondary school graduates will learn them on 7 July), select your fields of study, and pay the recruitment fee for all the fields of study for which you have registered in IRKA (the date of transfer is important, not the date of posting).
On 12, 13 and 14 July, interviews, examinations and certificate competitions will take place. But, note! The majority of candidates are not affected by these dates, as for most full-time first-cycle and long-cycle studies, recruitment is based on the results of the Matura exam. So be sure to check out the recruitment rules for your chosen field of study!
On 17 July, you will find the results of your recruitment on your accounts in the IRK Online Candidate Registration System. If you see a status of “qualified candidate” next to the fields of study, you will be able to submit documents to the admissions committees. Acceptance of documents will take place on 18, 19, 20 and 21 July. You can read what documents you need to submit at www.rekrutacja.uni.wroc.pl. Select the field of study and the ‘documents’ tab. For candidates with a new secondary school certificate, this will be a copy of your secondary school certificate and the original for inspection, and an application form printed from the IRK system (in order to be able to print your application, you will need to upload a photo into the IRK system beforehand, the photo must be approved by the Teaching Department – the Teaching Department has 3 working days to do this, so upload your photo early!).
Attention! Submitting your documents does not yet mean that you are guaranteed a place at university! Wait for the final results of the recruitment process, which for full-time first-cycle and long-cycle studies will be announced on 24 July.
After the first round of recruitment, further rounds of recruitment will take place if there are still places left in the fields of study. The results of the second round of recruitment will also be announced on 24 July. So, if you are on the reserve candidate list after the first round of recruitment, log in to the IRK Online Candidate Registration System on 24 July to check your status from “reserve candidate” to “qualified candidate”. If the status has changed, you will be able to submit documents on 25 and 26 July. After submitting your documents, still wait for the announcement of the 2nd list of accepted students, which will take place on 27 July. Your status in IRK should then change from “qualified candidate” to “accepted candidate”.
For full-time second-cycle studies in full-time and part-time form and for part-time first-cycle studies, recruitment also begins on 1 June, just as for full-time first-cycle studies and long-cycle studies. Subsequent dates, on the other hand, are different. For most fields of study, you have until September to register in the Online Candidate Registration System. The recruitment timetable also varies for part-time studies and second-cycle studies depending on the field of study. So be sure to check out the college recruitment schedule at www.rekrutacja.uni.wroc.pl.
