Vice-Rector prof. Matusz becomes the plenipotentiary of the Minister of Science
It is with great pleasure that we inform you that today, i.e. 6 March 2024, the Minister of Science, Dariusz Wieczorek, appointed dr hab. Patrycja Matusz, prof. UWr, as the plenipotentiary of the Minister of Science for European Affairs and the Presidency of the Republic of Poland in the Council of the European Union.
Professor Robert Olkiewicz, rector of the University of Wrocław, commented on the event:
Today’s nomination of prof. Patrycja Matusz as the plenipotentiary of the Minister of Science for European Affairs and the Presidency of the Republic of Poland in the Council of the European Union is a great success for prof. Matusz, which, however, did not come to her by itself, as she has worked it out over the years, becoming a generally recognised and respected expert in the field of international cooperation, the implementation of transnational projects and the principles of functioning of the European Union. I am therefore proud that prof. Matusz is, after all, also my deputy in the Rector’s College of the University of Wrocław, so I see this nomination as a success for the entire university and, in a sense, also as an acknowledgement of the University of Wrocław’s position on the academic map of Poland. I hope that in the coming days I will be able to congratulate prof. Matusz in person and give her a warm hug on behalf of the entire University of Wrocław.
Prof. Patrycja Matusz will continue to combine her new duties with her position as vice-rector of the University of Wrocław for projects and international relations.
