Ecological Station “Storczyk”

The Ecological Station “Storczyk” in Karpacz is currently a research unit of the Faculty of Biological Sciences, and until the beginning of 2011 it was part of the Institute of Plant Biology. It is located in the Karkonosze National Park. It has been operating since 1 October 1972 (first as “Maciejówka” and since 1990 as “Storczyk”). In the station practical classes and field research of natural habitats of the Sudety Mountains are carried out, moreover, material for research works is collected here. Green schools are also organised at the Ecological Station. The station is open all year round.
