Dom Archeologów Museum

The Museum “Dom Archeologów” (“House of Archaeologists”) was established on 1 April 2005 as one of the branches of the Museum of the University of Wrocław. Its seat is located in the building of the Institute of Archaeology at 3 Koszarowa Street, building no. 28.

The establishment of the museum was connected with didactic needs and the care of archaeological artefacts collected during the excavations conducted by the Institute of Archaeology. The artefacts arranged and inventoried in the museum as archaeological collections are used to conduct didactic classes in museology for students of archaeology.

From the very beginning of its activity, the museum also serves exhibition and popularisation purposes. Thematic temporary exhibitions are usually prepared on the occasion of special events organised by the Institute, such as scientific conferences.

The project “Integrated Program for the Development of the University of Wrocław 2018-2022” co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund
