Volunteers from the Independent Students’ Association of the University of Wrocław participate in collecting money for GOCC

On the 29th of January, on Sunday, there will be the 31st Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The Independent Students’ Association of the University of Wrocław also plays with GOCC. University of Wrocław’s students of various fields and scientific associations will be touring the city square. They work in cooperation with CRZ Krzywy Komin (Professional Development Centre “Krzywy Komin”) and thanks to the donations sent to eCollection Box of GOCC, they managed to collect almost 15,000 PLN!

This year we are collecting money to support children of all ages in a fight with sepsis. The University of Wrocław participates in the GOCC every year and supports it by auctioning interesting items on Allegro. Fundraising is also conducted by different units of the university. For instance, Wrocław University Library auctioned an unique map of Wrocław. Students also support and contribute in GOCC. This year, for the second time, the Independent Students’ Association of the University of Wrocław plays with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Students of all faculties of the University of Wrocław, full-time and part-time students, play with GOCC in Wrocław, but also in their hometowns throughout Poland! Wrocław Independent Students’ Association works in cooperation with CRZ Krzywy Komin (Professional Development Centre “Krzywy Komin”), in where held are GOCC headquarters. This Wendesday at the headquartuers, students from Independent Students’ Association will be handing out cans, identifcatiors and red heart stickers to volunteers, who will start collecting money on Sunday. You will be able to meet them in the city centre, especially around Wrocław’s Market Square, from the early morning hours until the evening.

Aleksandra Grzeszczyk – President of the Independent Students’ Association of the University of Wrocław and Aleksandra Machnicka – Director of the Social Affairs of the Independent Students’ Association of the University of Wrocław, told us about the involvement of Independent Students’ Association’s students in the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

-The interest was enormous! We did not have to convince University of Wrocław students to participate in GOCC. Students from many fields, from every faculty participate. Everyone wants to help, regardless of whether they are from Wrocław or if they only come here for classes. No wonder, the day of the Great Finale of GOCC is a very special day, during which people share their goodness with people in need. We encourage you to participate and contribute. Our students, who tour the city square and different parts as well, will be able to help you in participating. We hope to collect a lot of money, although it is not about the records. Every zloty and every grosz counts in the fight with sepsis.

Independent Students’ Association of University of Wrocław joins the GOCC fundraising through the eCollection Box of GOCC: https://eskarbonka.wosp.org.pl/kt8ml1. We have collected almost 15,000 PLN and we are not going to stop at that. Remember: #4628. We encourage you to contribute!
