We already know the participants of Falling Walls Lab Wrocław!

On Friday, 22. September, the Falling Walls Lab Wroclaw 2023 will take place in the Oratorium Marianum (Music Hall) of the University of Wroclaw Main Building, for the first time as a part of the Lower Silesia Festival of Science (Dolnośląski Festiwal Nauki – DFN).

Falling Walls Lab is a world-class pitch competition that brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary pool of students and early-career professionals by providing a stage for their breakthrough ideas.

The format supports participants in driving their innovations and develop their communication skills, fostering collaboration and creating a space for the impactful and sustainable community to thrive.

The event will be opened at 13:00  by the Rector of the University, prof. Robert Olkiewicz, and followed by a greeting address from the General Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in Wroclaw. After an introduction to the history and aims given by prof. David Blaschke, the coordinator of  the event, the breakthrough ideas of ten candidates from Poland and Czechia will be presented with 3 slides in 3 minutes each.

An interdisciplinary jury of experts from academia and public sector chaired by prof. Anna Chełmońska-Soyta will help select our winner, who will go on to represent Wrocław at this year’s global finale that takes place beginning November during the science week in Berlin.

Guests are cordially welcome! They are asked to send a short message to the coordinator david.blaschke@uwr.edu.pl
