We invite you to the next online meeting of the “Free Belarusian University” Project Forum
On 12 December, we will host a creative meeting with Andrei Khadanovich entitled “Contraband of Hope”. The event will focus on the power of words and the sources of hope, the kind we carry across borders and through bans like contraband.
Andrei Khadanovich – poet, translator, lecturer and literary scholar. He is the recipient of the Polish PEN Club Award and the Carlos Sherman Award. He is the author of twelve poetry collections for adults and one children’s book. He is a member of the Belarusian Writers’ Union and the Belarusian PEN Centre. His work combines lightness with depth, humour with reflection and addresses difficult and painful themes without despair but with profound humanism.
