Welcome to the Lower Silesian Science Festival!
By the decision of the Coordinator of the Lower Silesian Science Festival, prof. Ryszard Polechoński, and the President of the Collegium of Rectors of Wrocław and Opole universities, prof. dr hab. Robert Olkiewicz, made on 16.09, the events taking place on 17-19.09 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) are cancelled.
Until the end of Monday (16.09), meetings will take place as scheduled.
In the coming days, watching for developments, we will announce the possible cancellation of meetings on 20.09 and 21.09.
This year is already the XXVII edition of the Lower Silesian Science Festival, and its motto is ‘Train your mind’, which refers to the Year of the Polish Olympians, as well as the Olympics held in Paris this year. It suggests that just as we train our muscles when we exercise, so by attending lectures, workshops and other events that take place as part of the Lower Silesian Science Festival we can train our minds. The Wrocław edition takes place from 14-21 September 2024, and the whole event will begin with the opening ceremony on Saturday (14 September). Those interested will be able to take part in attractions prepared by lecturers from all universities in Wrocław as part of the Science Town. Staff, doctoral students and students representing all disciplines from the sciences to the humanities and social sciences at our University have organised more than a few dozen events in which everyone interested will be able to take part.
