‘What will be left of us? Geology.’ – photo report

Today at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, the Institute of Geological Sciences presented a screening of the film ‘What will be left of us? Geology.’ Fundacja Nauka. To Lubię, which was made during an expedition of young geologists from the University of Wrocław to the Baltic Sea. The event was attended, among others, by Vice-Rector for Student Affairs dr Łukasz Prus, Head of the Student and Doctoral Activity Support Office dr Patrycja Cicha, Vice-Dean for Development of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences dr Sebastian Buczyński, Director of the Institute of Geological Sciences dr Magdalena Matusiak-Małek and the crew of the expedition ‘GeoBaltic Adventure – Sailing Through Time’ – UWr Student Scientific Association of Geologists, dr Tomasz Rożek from the Fundacja Nauka. To lubię, as well as the officers of the sailing ship STS Generał Zaruski: captain Adam Walczukiewicz, captain Mirosław Bielecki and Henryk Miszczyk.

The presentation was also attended by students, doctoral students and employees of the UWr Institute of Geological Sciences, as well as pupils from primary and secondary schools in Wrocław and Ostrów Wielkopolski.

During the meeting, inż. Wojciech Durak talked about geology and sailing from the perspective of a student, dr Tomasz Rożek described the implementation of joint projects with the University of Wrocław and the behind-the-scenes creation of the film, and officers of the sailing ship STS Generał Zaruski presented the history of one of Poland’s most beautiful sailing ships.
