Wojciech Hann passed away
We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mr Wojciech Hann, who tragically lost his life in a skiing accident in Georgia on 16 January 2026.
He was an important figure for our city and for the University of Wrocław.
In the previous term, he served as Chair of the University Council.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
A farewell Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St Hyacinth in Warsaw on Friday, 6 February 2026 at 4.00 pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at the Church of St Adalbert in Wrocław on Tuesday, 10 February at 10.00 am. The burial will follow at Grabiszyński Cemetery in Wrocław at 1.00 pm.
The Family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Polish Cystic Fibrosis Society. A collection will be held on the day of the funeral.
