Workshops “Business Meet Up-STUDENCI W RYTMIE BUSINESSU”
On 16 April 2024, the signing of a letter of intent commencing cooperation between the University of Wrocław and PPG Business Global Services took place at the University of Wrocław. On behalf of the University, the letter was signed by His Magnificence Rector of the UWr, prof. dr hab. Robert Olkiewicz, and, on behalf of PPG, President of the Management Board Marcin Dębowski and Management Board Member Robert Kita.
The UWr Foreign Languages Centre, which initiated the cooperation, hosted a business and language workshop, “Business Meet Up-STUDENCI W RYTMIE BUSINESSU” (Business Meet Up-students in the rhythm of BUSINESS), with the participation of PPG management representatives and students. The idea for the classes and the contact with the PPG company was prepared by English language teachers Krzysztof Bryła and Michał Paprocki.
The workshop, conducted in English, focused on starting a career in business, conducting and preparing for interviews, correct drafting of recruitment documents, etc. Guest speakers talked to the students, sharing their experience and knowledge. The meeting ended with a series of questions asked by the students, on applying for jobs and preparing properly for the start of their careers. The students actively participated in the tasks and discussion.
