On 21 November 2023, the UWr Centre for Security Studies and Education in cooperation with the Faculty of Security Studies at the University of Warsaw and the Department of Sociology of Security and Education at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Warsaw organise the second edition of a two-stage training conference on raising the competence of staff and administration entitled “First Aid as a Challenge for Safety BLS” (Basic Life Support). Participation in both conferences is free of charge but the number of places is limited. The obligatory REGISTRATION will be open until 16 November 2023.
The training is dedicated to the management, research, and teaching staff and administration of UWr and AWL, as well as to teachers of primary and secondary profile sports schools (uniformed, rescue, and medical class profiles).
The concept of this cyclical project was created as part of the cooperation between the Faculty of Security Studies at the Academy of Land Forces in Wrocław and the Centre for Security Studies and Education at the University of Wrocław. We now organise its second edition, which is addressed not only to the research, teaching staff, and administration of both universities, but, as part of the implementation of the third mission of the universities, also to the teachers of Wrocław primary and secondary sports schools with uniformed, rescue, medical class profiles.
The project is composed of two parts:
I) BLS (Basic Life Support), date: 21 November 2023, WNS UWr
II) Injuries – types, specifics, principles of treatment, date: early 2024 at the Academy of Land Forces in Wrocław
The knowledge and specific skills in the field of civilian medicine with elements of battlefield medicine is compulsory in the face of modern threats. Therefore, the idea for the designing and implementing of this project was born.
The two conferences conducted as part of this project will consist of two panels: a lecture as well as a training and workshop. A maximum of 60 participants can take part in the conference. During the training and workshop part, participants will be divided into 6 training groups. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those who decide to take part in both conferences (both training and workshop panels) will receive a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION OF FIRST AID TRAINING (IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROGRAMME) after having completed the training and passed the written test as well as the practical part.
REGISTRATION is now open for the 1st conference on 21 November 2023. Registration continues until 16 November 2023.
