PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS 2023 IN POLAND: CHALLENGES – CONTEXT – STRATEGIES

In view of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Poland, we would like to invite you to an academic conference to be held on 30 and 31 May 2023 at the Faculty of Social Sciences (ul. Koszarowa 3). On the first day there will be a debate with representatives of political parties sitting in parliament. The pre-election debate will be hosted and moderated by students of the University of Wrocław.

The conference will also feature panel discussions with well-known Polish and foreign experts who will talk about strategies for creating electoral lists, the conduct of the election campaign in the media, the issue of the rule of law or the significance of the outcome of the Polish elections for the functioning of the European Union. The event will have a hybrid format allowing for in-person and online participation. The pre-election debate will be simultaneously translated from Polish into English. The language of the discussion panels will be Polish or English.

The scientific supervisors of the conference are prof. Anna Pacześniak and prof. Aleksandra Maatsch. Responsible for the organisation of the debate are: Student Scientific Association of European Studies “Project Europe” and the European Interdisciplinary Activities Scientific Association.

The conference is funded by the Jean Monnet Chair at the University of Wrocław and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
