On 6 June at 6 pm, our online guest will be dr Radoslaw Poniat with the topic “Jak można mierzyć kapitał ludzki w historycznych społeczeństwach? Skolaryzacja, piśmienność, alfabetyzacja i numeracy” (eng. How can human capital be measured in historical societies? Scolarisation, literacy, literacy and numeracy?).
Dr R. Poniat is a respected historian and sociologist, and deals with the socio-economic history and demography of the lands of the former Republic of Poland in the 18th and 19th centuries; he focuses on issues of social mobility, stratification, economic inequality and the labour market. He uses quantitative methods in his research, also extended by spatial analysis.
