Can we imagine a world without smartphones or computers? Would we be able to get around if there were no modern railways or motorways? All of these things are available to us today primarily thanks to the mineral resources that give us the metals, petrol or aggregate without which our economy could not function. Their source is primarily the Earth, although we can recover more and more raw materials through recycling. And what does our country’s resource base look like? This will be discussed by dr Piotr Wojtulek of the Institute of Geological Sciences at the University of Wrocław during a lecture entitled „Czy Polska jest surowcową potęgą?” (“Is Poland a raw material power?”). The lecture will be in Polish.
Please join us for a lecture on 4.02 at 10:00 in room 503 at pl. M Borna 9 and online.
