“Let’s talk about academia. Individualisation or collaboration?” conference is another event organised on the initiative of “We are The University” Association by the University of Wrocław (Historical Institute and Chair of European Studies). The debate is intended to serve the exchange of opinions on the future of higher education institutions and the processes observed in academic communities. The conference is open to the viewpoints of different groups: students, doctoral students, academic and administrative staff, researchers from other centres and people from the socio-economic environment.
This year, the invitation to participate in the event was accepted by practitioners dealing with higher education on a daily basis: prof. Piotr Stec (Opole University) – a lawyer, Director of the Institute of Legal Studies and former Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Opole University and prof. Tomasz Szlendak (Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń) – a sociologist, Director of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences in Toruń, Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and former member of the Scientific Policy Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Panel discussions will be attended by representatives of the University of Wrocław community, i.e. Rector’s Authorities, academic and administrative staff, doctoral students and students.
The event was held under the media patronage of Forum Akademickie [Academic Forum] and Academic Radio Luz.
