Students of German Studies will perform on the stage of the Music Hall with the supervisor of their academic circle, dr Julianna Redlich, who will herself perform solo her original interpretation of a song of Herbert Grönemeyer, a famous German actor and singer – Der Weg – in Polish.

We are also going to hear not only the Institute of Slavic Studies graduates – laureates of the Slavic Song Contest in the past – Kamila Konopczak will sing Anna German’s Eurydyki tańczące, Kołchoz Boys music band, this time all members present, will sing Tercja Pikardyjska’s Bohdan, a song so warmly received by the audience during the May contest, and Lyubov Moc will perform Czeremszyna, which is know even to the Polish audience. Lecturers from Poland and Czechia, Igor Jelinek and Jakub Walczak, will also be present. They will sing Edmund Fetting’s Чайф – 17 лет in Russian, and Kometa in Czech.

The performance of Ilija Psaltirov, the Ambassador in the Embassy of North Macedonia, was awarded with a great applause of the audience during the May concert. The organisers invited the Ambassador to take part in this autumn’s concert. He will perform songs in Macedonian – Bidi mi i ostatni and Sonce za tri svetovi.

The participation of the favourite linguist in Poland, the former Director of the Institute of Polish Studies at the University of Wrocław, prof. Jan Miodek, is going to be a great surprise for the audience. Professor will sing his favourite song for our audience, accompanied by the Senior Rector prof. Adam Jezierski. The Rector will once again perform in a triple role – as an announcer, as an accompanist, and as a performer. This year, our regular accompanists of our concerts, a multi-instrumentalist Stanisław Marinczenko and the Senior Rector Adam Jezierski, were joined by a talented assistant professor of the Institute of German Studies, dr Julianna Redlich. The concert will be run by Agata Bromboszcz, a student of the 3rd year of Russian Studies, and by Łukasz Gawlik, a graduate of Russian and Ukrainian Studies.
