Panel discussion on diversity
We would like to invite you to take part in a panel discussion to be held on 29 May from 4 to 7 pm at the European Parliament Office in Wrocław.
This year’s panel is very important because, for the first time at the University of Wrocław, we will discuss whether student organisations, scientific circles, student governments and academic authorities in Poland say a firm NO when the rule of law, human rights and diversity are threatened. We will consider whether they should do so, despite the thematic diversity of their own activities? If so, how to do it effectively? Maybe we prefer to find many arguments to take no action, hiding behind the dissimilarity of the themes in our own organisation or institution? After all, we are talking about the foundation on which ONLY AND ONLY our existence and our future depend.
Our panellists will include representatives of the Youth Council of the City of Wrocław, the University of Wrocław Student Government and the Youth Parliament of Poland. We will also host representatives of organisations and academic circles, including the Social Initiatives Scientific Association and the Project Europe Scientific Association.
The panel is being set up by the university-wide organisation Equal in Diversity at the University of Wrocław in cooperation with the Order 2.0 Association and has been placed under the patronage of the Wrocław Umbrella Foundation and the University of Wrocław Independent Students’ Union.
During the event, the nationwide project “Organisation Promoting Democracy, Diversity, and Human Rights” will be presented, which popularises a new model for Polish organisations to promote democracy, human rights, and diversity regardless of the leading theme in their own organisation.
We invite representatives of student organisations, academic circles, academic authorities, non-governmental organisations, and anyone interested in the topic!
