On 26 May, the Institute of Psychology at the University of Wrocław will take a closer look at the topic of inclusivity during the panel discussion “Trans-friendly UWr. How to support transgender people?”.
The aim of the discussion will be to build and expand awareness on how to effectively support transgender people in our environment. The issue will be presented from different perspectives, including communication, social perspectives, close relationships within and outside the home, child-parent relationships, as well as legal, formal situations (e.g. in education, work). We will also talk about inclusive communication and counteracting transphobia.
The following speakers will speak in the discussion:
- Piotr Jacoń, journalist, presenter, promoter and educator on transgender visibility and transgender knowledge, author of the book “My, trans”
- Dorota Stawicka-Moryc, judge of the District Court in Wrocław, civilian, mediation coordinator, educator bringing legal culture to children and young people
