The Ljudi Student Scientific Association cordially invites all those interested to the scientific conference “Window to the South – Interdisciplinarily about the Southern Slavs”. The event is the spiritual successor of the well-known conference series “Understanding the Balkans” and preserves its traditions – an interdisciplinary character through which, in addition to the usual issues of philology (linguistics, literary studies), issues of political and social and cultural sciences can also be addressed. The recent tightening of Serbo-Kosovo relations and Croatia’s entry into the Schengen area and the adoption of the euro open the door wide for the topic to be explored.
The conference will be held on 20-21 April 2023 in a remote mode with the possibility of in-person participation. Speakers interested in attending in-person will be provided with an online speaking slot.
