On 1 June at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of the UWr Institute of Psychology, a meeting and lecture will be held by dr Sławomir Jarmuża entitled “Mądrość w teorii i w praktyce”. (“Wisdom in theory and in practice”).
In recent years, inspiring concepts of wisdom have emerged in psychology. Interestingly, these are not just theoretical considerations at a general level, but also empirical studies giving clues on how to act wisely. The lecture will be devoted to the presentation of a selected wisdom concept along with its implications for everyday life. We will address questions about the relationship of wisdom to intelligence, personality and age. We will also find out how wisdom can be measured. Short assignments will illustrate the usefulness of wisdom knowledge.
