The Institute of English Studies and the Climate Change Team invite to an open lecture entitled “Exploring Climate Literacy with Monsters, Inc.: A Systems Thinking Approach” by prof. Marek Oziewicz from the University of Minnesota.

During the interactive lecture, prof. Marek Oziewicz will present a systems thinking approach to discussing climate literacy. Participants will be invited to consider the notion of cultural storytelling work and engage in narrative inquiry activities based on Monsters, Inc. and two short clips shown during the lecture.

Bio

Prof. Marek Oziewicz (University of Minnesota/USA) – literary scholar, professor of education, holds the Marguerite Henry Chair in Children’s and Young Adult Literature at Minnesota State University. Director of the Centre for Climate Education, focuses on research on the Anthropocene.
