The XXIII International Universum Conference titled “The Experience of Academic Heritage” will be held at the University of Wrocław from the 4th the 7th of July. The conference will combine with the annual convention of university museologists from all over Europe associated in the European University Heritage Network Universum.
According to the new definition of museums created in 2022 by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), museums “operate and communicate in an ethical, professional, and community-participatory manner, offering various forms of education, entertainment, discussion and knowledge sharing”. The topic of this year’s UNIVERSUM meeting will be the experience of visitors to academic museums.
Participants of the meeting will be reflecting on academic heritage and the opportunities and obstacles in using the full potential of university museum collections. Below is the conference programme.
