„Młodzi reporterzy na rzecz poprawy jakości powietrza” [“Young reporters for cleaner air”] is an exibition of artworks, which were created during the three editions of the competitions, realised within the LIFE-MAPPINGAIR/PL Project, the informational and educational campaign for cleaner air, realised with the funding from EU LIFE and grants from National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
Team for the LIFE-MAPPINGAIR/PL Project and ZOO Wrocław would like to invite everyone to an artwork exibition.
The exhibition will be opened on 7 June 2024 at 17:00 in Afrykarium – Zoo Wrocław.
The project concerned with cleaner air has been realised at the University of Wrocław since 2019. Along with its partners, which are Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the City of Bydgoszcz, a variety of initiatives and activities are taking place.
One of them is to promote the Project and the educational and informational tools created within it, and inspiring people to actively use these tools. The artworks were created through such activities.
The first competition „Na tropie czystszego powietrza” [“On the hunt for clean air”] was organised 4 years ago, in 2020. As part of the competition, students from Lower Silesian schools produced 23 artworks in different categories.
The subsequent edition was a competition, with a topic: „Co z tym powietrzem?” [“What’s up with this air?”] and despite the COVID-19 pandemic, a record number of 206 artworks in different categories were submitted to the competition.
The third edition was a competition, with a topic: „Nie tylko płuca!” [“Not just lungs!”] finished in 2022. The wonderful artworks of the laureates of that edition can be seen on our exhibition.
Undoubtedly, these types of activities provide the society with reliable knowledge about the issue of air pollution, the ways to improve it and the impact of air quality on health and quality of life.
The competitions conducted present how children and youth see this problem.
The exhibition in ZOO Wrocław will be opened until the end of June, but starting from 17th and also until the end of June, we would like to invite you to Kino „Nowe Horyzonty”. The artworks of laureates of beforementioned competitions will be available to you on the first floor.
